Globality of Languages for an Innovative Approach to Disability and Sport. INSIDes: Skills, Sport & Disabilities – Project co-funded by the European Union.

Final Conference – 4-5 April 2022 – Best Western Blu Hotel Roma – Largo Domenico De Dominicis, 4.

INSIDes-Project – an international project co-financed by the Erasmus + programme of the European Union – has tried to imagine innovative paths in the field of Sport, Disability and Social Integration. The leader of the European project is the Cooperativa Umanista Mazra of Naples, which has been implementing and disseminating social integration practices in favour of people with disabilities for 20 years.

Sport and disability. Sport and Disabilities: nowadays are two words that are commonly together. Indeed, sport is a valuable tool for social inclusion.

Under the guidance of Prof. Stefania Guerra Lisi – creator and leader of the pedagogical-therapeutic-training discipline called “Globality of Languages” – Italy, Greece, Brazil, Slovenia and Turkey have worked on a New Model for the development of human potential and the empowerment of people with disabilities.

The project explored the possibilities and ways to disseminate in other European and non-European countries the competence in social care provided by the discipline of “Globality of Languages” and to implement the various communicative-expressive languages in a scalable and replicable model applied to the field of Sport.

From Gamification to Volleyball, from Triathlon to Contact Sports, everything has been networked and put into a system.

A project co-funded by the European Union that wanted to shine a light on the different socio-environmental conditions in which disability is experienced. It is no coincidence that the partnership is so wide-ranging: from Slovenia to Turkey, from Greece to Italy and Brazil.

Innovation. This is the key word of the final event-conference of the project scheduled on 4 and 5 April in Rome at the Best Western Blu Hotel.

Two days of discussion and in-depth analysis on Skills, Sports & Disabilities with a prestigious panel that includes among its speakers, for example, Prof. Stefania Guerra Lisi, Dr. Francesco Gabbrielli – Director of the National Centre for Telemedicine and New Welfare Technologies of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Eng. Matteo Testi – CEO Deep Learning, who will talk about the relationship between Artificial Intelligence, Sports and Disabilities, and sports journalist Claudio Arrigoni, an expert in Paralympic sports.

A moment of synthesis in which the results of the international work will be presented and the joint work towards new innovative frontiers will be relaunched.
